Problems with power locks on 92 Estate
The power locks on my 92 Estate have slowly deteriorated. First the remote only unlocked the doors. Then it only unlocked the drivers door. All the while the manual switch on the door panel worked great. Then it quit working alltogether and now nothing works (remote or manual) but the 5 doorlocks have started a humming sound and act as if they can't decide to lock or unlock. I pulled the breaker to stop it.I installed a new relay. But it didn't fix the problem. Help??

Re: Problems with power locks on 92 Estate
Check fuses # 1 and #17, which feed the door lock system. Also check the two ground connections behind the left side kick panel near the door. If all this checks out OK, you might have to replace the module and see what happens. The module is located in the trunk on sedans and on the left wheel well on wagons. Hope this helps
