Ask and ye shall receive because Revell is also doing the '05 Mustang.

Polar Lights is pretty good about hitting the details on their kits. I have their Blue Max Mustang funny car and the K&K Insurance Buddy Baker Charger stock car and those are both pretty good kits with plenty of detail, if slightly fiddly fit.

Well Layla, if you read " Model Cars" or such you would believe that the Revell 05' Stang is in production. but from what i understand the 05' has been dropped from the Revell "line-up". Lets just hope Polar doesnt make it a snap kit. I could be wrong though.
/edit/ yeah polar lights isnt doing one either so there web site says. looks like its up to the resin cats. there is the metal body kit of the "prototype" 05' but thats it right now. but this has been covered before. no new Stang', no new GT40. Ford is on lock down for licencing, to many out side designiers is my guess. oh welll, another year of not being interested in domestic releases.... was i really supposed to be excited by the Cobolt?

Re: The "I want this kit" site.

Last I heard, The Polar Lights Ford GT is still a go, and the '05 Mustang is pictured in the Revell catalog that just came out.

The 'Stang is set for a fall release; the GT, perhaps between spring and summer.

It's true Polar Lights was going to do a Mustang GT and cancelled it. Rumor is that somewhere in P/L's p r chain, the Ford GT got confused for the Ford Mustang GT, and that the Ford GT cancellation announcement was mistaken from the start...

I'm not sure you are talking about the E36 now , but...

It seems they made the E36 some years ago:

It is supposed to have engine detail... anyone got any pics? Since this thing has an engine I might have to hunt one down!

Re: The "I want this kit" site.

Now am I mistaken, or might that be one of the Revell AG kits Tamiya reboxed?

The wheels and tires in particular make me think Revell AG, and Revell's kit was of that same car. If so, it bolsters my impression that Revell's kit had an engine.

Re: The "I want this kit" site.

Tamiya's 325i is Revell Germany rebox, so is the 850i. Both kits have engines.

And both of them are ridiculously hard o get hold of. I saw an 850i go for over $80 on eBay recently.
