Re: silverado fog lights

Doesn't Hella make some kind of half-way sane looking replacement for these trucks? I swear I saw some at a car show one time.

Re: silverado fog lights

Itīs on the outside of the light fixture itself, look behind the air dam and turn that big plastic knob at the end of the screw

Re: silverado fog lights

Ok. Big question here. I don't care if the fog lights add extra light at night, I adjusted my headlights perfectly. My big concern is...Do they help in the fog? It's been unusually foggy here the past 3 months..

Re: silverado fog lights

Not really.
What I found a big difference was switching to Xenon Bulbs. The blue light cuts way deeper through the fog and the need for Fog Lights seems to be un-required. What I do miss is being able to see further with my old Bosch (white) Driving lights.

Re: silverado fog lights

how are the 2003+ factory foglights even legal? i can pick out a silverado with the fog lights on a mile down the road at night, they are blinding to me.

as far as finding yellow bulbs i would say, like mentioned before, ebay would be your best bet.
