the hp of the s4 is around 250, so if you had the v6 the 5k will put you up to 290, or you can add like intake and exhaust and ship to bring it up to around 220, that will all be about 3k. Mind that if somebody were to chip the s4 it would be better than the supercharged a4. but around 5k will put you beyond s4 standards

an intake and an exhuast will not bring a 2.8's put put to 220...the only thing worth getting that will actually increase performance is the supercharger...of course one important question is the year of the A4 as well...i didnt catch that if you put it in...any way you slice it...1.8T or 2.8...your going to spending a great deal of money for any real performance gains...dont waste your money on intakes or exhuasts...the increases to power are slim to none...plus audis are built with quality material so those dont need to get replaced until your pushing huge amounts of power...i feel your best beat either way is to save your money and wait for the supercharger or wait to upgrade the turbos...everything else is a waste of time and money for an audi

Re: Audi A4
Ok,The 2.8 are the smoother rider but with Trip gearing you are going to loose power in both the 1.8T and the 2.8. If like you don't want to spend a lot of money then the 2.8 is best but if you think your goner spend some money and what lots of power the 1.8T is the way to go as you can get over 350 hp out of the 1.8T but for smoothness and up to 300 hp then the 2.8 is your baby. If funds will stretch then the S4 is the best all rounder. Oh and what ever you get, get the Quattro your lover it.

Is there a noticable change in body trim and little touch ups between a 98 and 00 A4. Like a slight change to the bumpers or side moldings. Or a new trim to the side mirrors or light bulb arrangment in the head lights. Even though they're the same body style is there something destinctive to distinquish them apart.
