Re: 240sx brake quests

Well dont knock on the kid too much. Give him a link with some good info then send him to ebay if he wants the 5 lug conversion. Play fair. You were once probably asking questions just like him.

the text books from my school kicks ass that one includes everything about wheels, tires, chassis, suspension, brakes, geometry of suspensions, etc. my friends go to trade school, and they're text book is no where near as detailed as mine since their entire curriculum is in one book, when i have like 6 books that is just as thick as his one book. but anyways yeah back to the subject,

if you want to learn more about master cylinders. try typing in proportion valves, metering valves, etc they might have tech articles on it. i also had formulas for master cylinder force vs actualy brake force by measureing master cylinder diameter and doing a ratio to the brake piston diameters. but thats in my notebook some where. again haven't touched this stuff casue honestly no one really goes that detailed into this stuff when they change parts. unless your an engineer, and specialize in brakes.

Re: 240sx brake quests

well the wheels i want only come in 5 lug so the conversion is gonna be done

im only going with 5 lug hubs so i dont know about the z32 conversion? because if im correct dont the z32 brakes require the uprights for the rear? im only doing the hubs

so what i need is calipers that will fit on a s13 with 5 lug rotars. and brembo is the brand i want because i get a nice discount due to sponsorship same goes with the wheels

so basicly get 5 lug rotars for s14 get brembo calipers for an s13 with the exended mounts and that would do? the s14 rotars 5 lug rotars would work? evenything would line up? sorry when it comes to brakes i dont know a whole lot

Re: 240sx brake quests

I would definitely stick with the 300zx for parts to get the 5 lugs you want.
