Re: Citroen Xsara 2004

Welcome!
You did a very convincing job on the most over priced model I've ever seen, in Sweden it costs almost as much as a Tamigawa kit without everything that comes from thoose two! To get a toy look this good takes some modeling skills! Got me one for a long time ago and it still sits on my shelf. After seeing yours I might get around finishing mine some time.

Thanks for the inspiration!
Niclas

Looks great. Love the weathering effect, subtle but realistic.

Hello and welcome!

How are the Schmincke colors working? Some shop owner in Dresden gave me a sample, but I didn't test it yet... Does this color dry out to be water-resistend? Or does every drop of water destroy the wheatering?

BTW: The red color of the Xsara looks almost real!!!

Very nice work on this one, hard work indeed to get it look like this. Welcome to AF.

Agree with what most of the others are saying. Always interesting to see how modelers are able to turn the relatively poor kit into a nice model!

It's about time I start mine.

Hi,

thanks everybody for the positive feedback.

In the next days/weeks you will see some more of my models.

@ hueb_s:
as the Schmincke colours are waterbased, they do not stick to the base as model colours. Also it is possible, to wipe them off, however you need a certain pressure.

You should avoid to bring water to painted areas, it may leave spots on them. Of course it is possible to bring some clear over these colours, but in this case I wanted to leave the colours as they are.
