are you or are you not basically just doing the same thing he just did by basically calling the 300zx junk???

stop bashing cars fellas'...good cars are good cars in different ways. jeez...

and really to say a car is gonna be in the junkyard because it is 30 years old is just stupid...all cars will last as long as the owner wants it too. dont be ignorant...

and on the other hand of that...saying a car is junk because it is american made is also very ignorant.

With comparable tires and smooth pavement, the 4rd generation Camaro handles equally good if not better than the Z32 300ZX. One only needs to look at the way the 4th gen F-bodies have dominated near stock road racing classes like SCCA Touring II and Grand Am Cup to see that they are excellent road racing machines.

GM did a lot right in those F body chassis. The engine is set very far back in the chassis (in fact, everything behind the #3-4 cylinders is underneath the cowl, speaking as someone who's had to change sparkplugs in those things before) and the front suspension is a durable and well done unequal length A-arm setup.

Let's not forget that when it was first introduced in 1993, the new Camaro was pulling .90g's on the skidpad and the car could dash through the slalom at 60+mph.

That's right there with the 300ZX and in a cheaper, more user friendly package with more tunability.

i almost bought a 300zxTT with a rough body but the engine and transmission had less than 50,000 miles for $7k...but usually the going price on 300zxTT is anywhere from $10-18k...

Could a 300ZXTT take the late Mustang Cobra and Camaro SS? The places I looked it ran a low 14 stock(www.carfolio.com), while the mustang has hit the high 12's and a SS low 13's. Obviously Ford and Chevy "junk" can beat your car stock for stock. And with 7k invested into them...well...bye bye.

I'm not trying to bash on the 300ZX, and yes I do perfer domestics. The 300ZX is a nice car but people like him need to realize that american cars aren't the way they were in the late 70's and early 80's.

stock TT Z's usually runs high to mid 13's. also the car came out in 89. so compare it to a camaro from 89 or a mustang from 89 or even vette from 89 and you'll see what they were talkin about.
