Re: 5.0 stang vs. lt1 camaro vs. 300zx turbo
Reliability-As long as you take care of it...
Handling-Probably the 300zx Top Speed-Camaro. 161mph Accel-300 again? I'd have to say that the camaro would be the most fun, which that could be considered a bit biased.

Re: 5.0 stang vs. lt1 camaro vs. 300zx turbo
The 300ZX should take the cake in acceleration, handling, and all-around performance, but it's gonna cost a lot more (and I'm talking mostly maintenance costs here) than an LT1 Camaro. They're both a pain in the ass to work on, but they're both fairly reliable if you take care of them. I'd say go for the 300ZX if you have the money for it; otherwise, stick with the LT1.

Re: 5.0 stang vs. lt1 camaro vs. 300zx turbo
I believe they are limited to 155mph.

well in that case, i am pretty sure that the Twin Turbo is limited to 155 also.

Depends on how much previous maintence the car has had (remember that they were last built stateside in 1996) and how much you plan to whip on it. The VG motor beefed to an extreme and even the twin turbo engines can easily last into the 200k mile range. But they usually don't because some retard decides its a good idea to run it to redline off every stoplight after turning the boost up to the bleeding edge of the stock fuel injectors ablities. Then they don't change the oil for a year. Stupid people kill cars.
Anyway, a clean VG30DETT isn't really that hard to find and requires little maintence, more than a Honda or something but its a performance engine so its expected. The rest of the car is just as stout and aside from normal wear and tear items like clutches and brake pads, its pretty good on maintence. But as you can see \/ I may be more than a little biased here.

This is an easy question. The Z will be the easiest to get crap loads of power out of. It already has turbos and lower compression. Swap out the turbos, some big injectors, new ecu. You can get well over 500 rwhp. Lets face it, there is nothing like japanese reliability. Chevy and ford are junk. My Dad is a big fan of domestics and he spends more time working on them than racing them. The Z will out accelerate, out handle, and the ecu upgrade I talked about gets rid of the governor. Don't waste your time on trying to get those other pieces of junk fast. Go with the proven engineering of the Z. I have three and I personally believe they are the best cars every built. I built an 11 second car for 7 thousand dollars!
