....... My Quick Modeling Fix ........

Here's my Quick Modeling Fix... A 1:25 AMT Snapfast kit.

I originally bought this kit because I love the body on it, it would make a killer detailed street rod. Well ... I got it in the mail today, and after opening the box I couldn't help myself ... it was on.

I only did a couple of things to it. First was to can the toyish looking tri-blade wheels, they were replaced with a set of Pegasus chrome T's, 19" front and 23" rears. The body is molded in the blue plastic with white painted stripes. There were a bunch of fine scratches all over it and some pretty heavy ones on the top. Without getting out the sandpapaer, a quick once over with Meguiars #7 glaze and a coat of wax. I also black washed the grill and painted the side pipe ends. After that it was all snapped together. No brakes on it, I don't have a spare set and the headlight lens are not snapped all the way in the housings as I will take this car apart one day and build a better detailed rod out of it.

Till then I'll just enjoy rolling it back and forth across my desk.

Comments welcome

Till Next

Re: ....... My Quick Modeling Fix ........

Love it i had the crysler of that series but i used the rims on a 70 charger because i got stuck on the whole 22' rims on a older car thing (living in the hood at time) but it looked awsome and it was left behind but i would love the caprice cop car!

Awesome! Looks a bit like the Prowler (Chrysler) but with a roof. I think I´m in love with those rims, looks like Torque Thrusts. Anyway, it looks great but is there any engine details?
