Re: tamiya 04wrc impreza

I really hope this metal chassis thing doesn't catch on. I move around a lot and the added weight could make it harder to safely transport the models. I usually attach them to their bases with wire or tape, extra weight will mean they are more likely to shift and break.

Hope that after-market factory can make better p.e. set for this 'Z'... and hope ST27 will release the G'Zox decal for this 'Z' too.

Damn! the rims is wrong... Hope that is only a prototype not the real thing. (It should be using the 5 spoke that was included in R34 Xanavi. Not a TE37 that in most JGTC R34.)

Indeed?...

You're right concerning the press release version:

But the racing one finally had these ones:

GZOX having 6 spokes too, but slightly different:

And Calsonic its usual Impul 5 spokes ones:

Then I make it more greedy ...give 2 type of rims...
Anyway, I think we have to find out when the real stuff is on our hand...

Re: tamiya 04wrc impreza

While we're on the subject of new Tamiya releases, this has appeared in the future releases section on hlj: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAMX-01

Apparently its a 1/24 scale car, but the code suggests that its not in the 1/24 Car series. I don't know either if its a re-release of the A110 or a rally version.

Mmmm, I had some doubts at first but now I'm really looking forward to this new 350Z gt car, it looks amazing from what I'm seeing.

As the stock version of the car depicts an Alpine A110 1600 S version,
the most sensible thing to expect from tamiya is this kit with an extra tree with some rims and a decal sheet of the Montecarlo rally.
Here's what I expect it to be...

the 1972 car that ended 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Also very good news for people who still have their old releases of alpines in boxes, that means they re prolly gonna bring out back their Alpine coloured spray!

I know I m gonna get one!

Didn't Tamiya re-issued Alpine blue as TS-54 light metalic blue?

From what I ve heard it's a different hue... dunno if this is true tho...
It's abit like the raybrig-telefonica-dark metallic blue thing; which is which?

Yup, Alpine and Light Metallic Blue are the same.

Tamiya seem to have done quite well with the '04 Impreza. Still obviously based on the '01 kit but quite comprehensively updated. Can the Scoobiephiles see any significant errors or omissions?
