Re: turbo intake setup
the tps sensor is in the correct spot, it is directly across from the throttle cable. its the top yellow circle in ricochet's picture.
the black thing in the bottom of this picture is the map sensor(yes, it does the same thing as a MAF but in a different way). this should be where the silicon is on the throttle body in the first picture. problem should have nothing to do with tps if he didnt touch it. SSAC

Re: turbo intake setup
Yeah, it looks like that plug would fit on there based on the picture. Would you suggest he reattach the MAP sensor where it should go? Might this fix the idle revving up and down?
LOL I know it can't be good, but what's SSAC? |

Re: turbo intake setup
yes put the map sensor back.
SSAC is SSAutochrome off of ebay. their shit=shit. which is your friend's manifold, turbo, wastegate, and downpipe.

Re: Re: turbo intake setup
Im not sure if you still have the same problem but I didnt see that anybody actually answered your question so Im going to go ahead and give my point of view...
the turbo setup looks fine but kinda ghetto. I had the same idle problem when I installed my turbo and the problem is that the MAP sensor doesnt have a missing link, so whenever he boosted it, he tripped his MAP and now it's not working right. What the missing link does is that it blows off any extra air (boost) that its not supposed to be reading because the engine is supposed to be N/A. The missing link is a small kinda rectangle piece of metal that goes on your MAP sensor and hooks up to that hose. It cost on average about $ 50 bucks. hope that answers your question if it wasnt already. |
