Alfa Romeo Giulia SPrint GTA

Hello Everybody. I'm new on this forum so let me say a few words about myself before I show you my current project. SO I'm from Poland working as a process engineer in the papermill. Every free moment having a huge fun with plastic kits. Cars 1950-1970 interensted most in.
So lets go to a curren project; Alafa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA which wont be excatly GTA, street wersion rather with shine chrome bumpers etc.
ENgine is the first step obviously.
Paint is Pactra Aluminium matt + Tamiya Metallic Grey +Tamiya white + some ModelMater chrome silver.

ANd now something completaly different: brake discs.
1. First layer was semi gloss black for everything (discs, pads)
2. Using tamiya masking tape prepared for chrome silver discs

3. Tamiya masking tape again for pads

4. Final effect

Thats all folks for today. Any comments nice seen.

Looking good!
Iv'e built this one to and the only thing to watch out for is the hood. It won't close properly due to the enging sitting to high in it's compartment. Do a lot of test fitting. The main problem is the intake and filter assembly, but if one should lower the whole engine a bit it may solve the problem. But it's maybe only me that has this problem, don't know why but better safe than sound, do some testing!

Yeah I encountered that stupid hood too. I was just to lazy to fix it after all the work I put into this diorama:

I have this same kit on my "to-do-next" list. I'll be watching your build carefully

Keep up the good work!

The chasis been already done. It's "hospital clean". I wonder if I should make some dirt on it, whats your opinion? Sorry for image bad quality but been resized from original.

Nice project, you are very patient to do all that masking on the brakes that will be mostly hidden! No need to apologise for the picture quality, looks good to me.

Next steps behind me. Interior finished but not happy of final effect. I had some problems with chrome silver details, and finally made some chrome spots in undesireable areas. Gauges decals are the second topic I dlike to comments. They are'n cutted properlyand sticking them in exactly room is quite difficult without extra trimming.

Main part ready for a touch of chrome silver.

More to come soon!
