v8 GP

I have been talking with my father who has been building street rods his whole adult life. He really like my 98 Gp Gt and wants to buy one and drop a v8 in it and rear wheel drive it. I think it can be done with out to much problem. The only problem I see is keeping the gagues working. It would be a 350 carb motor rear wheel drive... I am looking for a 97 or newer GP coupe to cut apart to do this in Michigan anyone????

A north star fits in a GP. I have heard about a few of them and on ebay someone was selling a northstar and everything else for an install. So yes it can be done but I am not sure if it is worth it.

Re: v8 in 98 gtp

That is the point, Too much hasle, no one will be able to work the car without issues except you and to resell it would be a nightmare.
The NorthStar packs 320 hp OEM, is there good moding for it that makes sense to install on the GTP and get a heck of more hp from the engine?
Cause with your 3800 SC you can reach 320 hp without a ton of mods. Like Ripn12s that has 291hp on the wheel, his engine should be pumping around 311hp.
Mine Est is pumping on the wheels 275 so the engine should be pumping 295. And in my case taking out the tranny, sc and engine cost have not spent 4k on the car.
So think twice before doing this.

Re: v8 in 98 gtp

Alright, here's a question.. would it be easier to put a V8 in a non supercharged 3800, or would getting a L67 be easier.

I've got an Olds intrigue and all the other people who have my car dont seem to care about performance
