Right now, I'd say the 05' Mustang is the best bang for buck of any car up to the C6 'Vette. 300bhp for ~$25,000 is an awesome deal in a new car.

I think the Evo RS offers a slightly better bang-for-buck than the Mustang GT. For a few grand more, you get as much as half a second faster in the quarter mile, and we all know how the Evo performs in the corners. :P
