I hear you man.

You know its funny that I was thinking about putting a disclaimer in my last post about how - although I think Sadam went into Kuwait for more than mere "reunification" - I do not base my views entirely on the human race eroding crap that's pumped out 24/7 on the brainwashing tube. Much like I don't base my views souly on a few scattered webpages that, really, anybody could maintain for whatever reasons...

Nevertheless, those links are SO damning. I mean, I could always believe the U.S. (or any country really) using a few stray laser guided missiles that blew up oil wells and turning it around into anti-Iraqi propaganda (what’s the average these days anyways? For every hit you get four or five misses??). But to claim those oil wells were deliberately set by U.S. Forces – and then to further exclaim the environmental devastation and severity to demonize the Iraqi’s – is just down right soul-rotting. But honestly, it doesn’t really surprise me – it simply meant more cleanup contracts for Western companies.

Re: one tyrant for another?

"over the past 6 years we've had 5 gulf war vets come forward to tell us about US military involvement in the Kuwait oil fires"

bummer! theres a reason they don't want to put Sadam on trial.

theres a reason they will try to stop him talking or censor the trial from the west.

Those war crimes trials don't really stand up when the One's preaching justice and hauling in the accused are themselves exempt from any scrunity...

Re: one tyrant for another?

yeah.... theres no way that either george or any of their cronies would get done on war crimes whether they committed them or not. At least if Sadam talked and it was allowed to be shown people might hear his side for once, and hear about some of those injustices and attrocities committed by the US. Although it may be censored for national security or some crap!

The 4th-rate army was vanquished in the first month. The poeple we are fighting now are small, well-armed bands of thugs and criminals.

how does that change the fact that the US is stuggling to gain and maintain control? In fact, isn't it an even more significant statement that the US army is struggling to deal to a bunch of thugs? who while they may be well armed for "thugs" and "criminals" still pale into insignificance against the techno advantage the US has.

as the US attacks one city (killing god knows how many civilians) the rest of the country errupts into chaos. while eventually control of fallujah may be achieved, the army can't stay there, they have to re-establish control of the rest of the country and the sister city is going to be another huge obstacle.

The longer the fighting continues the less popular the US and their puppet government will become, leading to increased tension and resultant violence.

no wonder the majority do not feel like they have been "liberated".
