1940 Ford project. *PICS*

I started this one as a test of the new Testor paints. I got my two first cans two weeks ago and needed a scrap body to test them on. But it turned out to be my best paint job so far. It's dark cherry pearl straight from the can, just a bit of polish after, no clear.

But after a paint job like that I had to do some more work on the rest of the car. The engine is from a Revell '32 Ford.

The rear suspention is from the same '32 Ford and the front is from a Revell '41 Willys. It will have some frame parts from the Revell '40 Ford convertible.

Stunning paint! The engine looks cool too, are you gonna do any wiring on it?

Thanks for all the comments!

The engine will be fully plumed and wired and the frame will get brake and fule line and parking brake wires.

The valve covers are chrome in the kit. So I painted them flat black, and just before the paint dried I rubbed the paint off the raised parts with my finger. Realy easy and looks realy good.

The interior is almost complete. The only thing left is the dash and add some speaker grills.

I got some more work done on the frame. The rear is completed and the front needs a last sanding. Then I can start thinking about engine mounts.
