Re: a beginer

Pretty good. They look flat because the windshield isn't vertical enough and streches too far back. Keep up the good work though

Re: a beginer

Hi Mina97,

Ok I won't touch on perspective anymore, I think that is covered.

Your work looks good esp. for drawing from your head. You asked for advice, so I will give some.

I personally would not focus on designing cars right now. If I where you I would study real cars and render those. You need the basics down first like drawing ellipses. Ellipses Ellipses Ellipses the achilles heal of auto-artists. Pls check out this link and other links in the "tutorial" thread

http://www.drawthrough.com/tutorials/index.html

Perspective/wheels/ellipses

Keep up the good work.

Oh you may want to trace too. I started out tracing back in the day, and to tell you the truth I think it helped me become a better artist, and I still trace, don't let no artist fool you they all trace even if it is their own artwork. I think graphic artists trace a lot w/ programs like Adobe Illustrator, but they still know the basics of free hand drawing. Tracing is just another tool; I am just saying it helped me out a lot. I draw w/ all sorts of tools and yes I can draw free hand too.

I just noticed I have a lot of smiles. I don't care what y'all think I like smiles What can I say I am happy to be alive.

Take care

al

Re: a beginer

Your VW looks good. It looks a little like a cartoon, perhaps it is supposed to be?

So you are in college. What is your major?

Re: a beginer

Yeah, the VW looks pretty good. Like Al said, it is a bit toony, but that's ok. I like it.
