Re: Holy h$%&!

Is the rear negative camber the reason it's so scary at high speed and not just cuz I'm riding on 9lb. 14s? I'm going to add washers to the rear this weekend and see if it makes any difference. My toe is already corrected. I use adjustable springs but I'm always low...

Re: Holy h$%&!

Good News!
My friend is selling me his brand new camber kit for $30! He decided not to use it bc his camber isnt that bad so hes selling it to me. All 4 of my tires are fucked. 3 are worn down to flatness and the 1 that isnt has the wires sticking out on the outside of the tire at this one point. I guess the next thing Im gonna get for my baby after the camber kit and front end alignment is wheels and tires. I want Rota Slipstreams but I dont know which tires I want yet. I want something that will do good in the snow but something thats also a great street tire too. What you think I should go with?

Re: Holy h$%&!

BTW Im gonna get 15" Slipstreams and I want 205/55 size tires. I dont really want to spend over $100 on each tire either. Are falken Azenis or Nitto NT555's good in the snow? And where would the best place to get tires be overall (prices and trust worthy).

those tires suck major ass in the snow. If you have to drive in winter conditions, get some normal ass radial tires. drag radials or azenis are not wet tires whatsoever. they're made for dry pavement only.

Re: Holy h$%&!

Dude, get winter tires and summer tires. There's no tire that is good in both the winter and the summer.

All seasons kinda suck in both conditions. Performance tires totally suck in the winter, and winter tires suck in the summer.

Don't cheap out on tires man, its the most fuggin important thing on your car. Look at Azenis, look how much rubber goes on the road.. Think about how scary those things would be in the winter. Same with all the performance tires. For winter, you need something really chunky with big gaps in the chunks. For summer, you want something with lots of rubber on the road.

Get both. IF you have you justify it, look at it like this... If you have summer tires AND winter tires, you're going to have to buy two sets when you need them, but theoretically they'll both last twice as long as if they were your only tire.

Re: Holy h$%&!

Or you can just get something like a Dunlop High Performance All Season... I had them and they worked great for both winter and summer, pavement and dirt/gravel... pretty cheap too. But if you're going to have 2 sets of rims then maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get 2 sets of tires.

Well one this is, i was thinking about getting 2 really light like 15"s with like some g forces after winter to just use when going out on friday and saturday nights or for when i go to the track. So maybe ill just get some good all season tires like those dunlops u mentioned. But Im gonna need them soon though. These tires are fucked. Ill probably be able to order the wheels nxt paycheck and then tires the paycheck after that. I really dont want these steelies anymore.

Re: Holy h$%&!

God News! I found my coilover wrenches, they were hidden under my spare tire. I also bought the camber kit for $30 and its pretty nice. Hopefully Ill be able to put it on this weekend or my next day off next week.
