Holy h$%&!

Damn man I may need to get new tires sometime soon if I dont get my camber fixed. I didnt think it was gonna wear down that fast! I felt my tire just bc i was curious and i have a bald line going around the inside of the tire! Im gonna order a camber kit this thursday if I can. Ive only had my car lowered for like less than 2 months I think and its already worn that much! Is this normal?

Re: Holy hell!

Depends on how bad your camber is you also may have some toe in or out. But ya tires wear quick with bad camber.

Re: Holy hell!

i knew they wore fast but i thought it would take like 4 months for it to get this bad. I have some pretty bad camber, it wasnt so bad when i first lowered it, but once the springs settled the wheels starting bowing in. Im not even sure how much I lowered it, theyre all slightly different too (didnt go back and adjust em after putting em on lol). Plus I cant find my wrenches.

Re: Holy hell!

your toe tends to have more to do with tire wear the camber actually... with both yeah its worse... but if your toe is right camber won't be as much of an issue

Re: Holy h$%&!

Yuh. Toe eats tires like crazy.

Get an alignment now.. When I first dropped my car, I went through a set of Kumhos in about 5,000km (2 and a half months)

Re: Holy h$%&!

Don't bother getting an alignment or toe adjustment until you readjust the springs. I know this because I was like that when I first had my springs put on. Yes, I was ripped off, but at least they welded my strut fork back together in the rear. Anyway, I tried to get my toe/alignment done 3 times before I realized the springs were at all different heights. Find your wrenches or go get some. I would be willing to bet that you could take apart an oil filter wrench and use it the same way. Also, your upper ball joints might be sandwiched causing serious negative camber.

Re: Holy h$%&!

you can adjust the back camber by putting washers in between the upper control arm "dog bone" mount and the frame. theres two bolts holding it on. remove it and space it out with 1 or 2 washers depending on how bad your camber is.

they shouldn't wear that bad.. it sounds likeyou may have a toe problem. If you are getting the car aligned, align it with your current ride height becuase if you lift it back up, align it, then lower it, you'll have the same problems most likely.

you have a problem you're just not aware of it. you have a camber problem. the suspension is designed to have negative camber when its compressed so the car is stable over bumps. when you lower the car is like compressing the suspension and you will have more negative camber.
