hey guys....i think this guy has an old 240z or 280z. something like that. i will be taking my upper plenum off to get it powder coated before i put the new engine in. so i will tell you guys how my experience was with it. i aint no Mr. Goodwrench either. Wes, if i have a problem you will be the first person hearing my suffering. lol

thanx for all the input but i posted this thread much to quick i guess the car just need it to be driven, it whent away as soon as i started it today, so i guess i just need an oil change by the way the car was manufacter 5/89

thanks...i have a feeling i might have a few questions.

also, what kind of places fo professional powder coating??? i asked around the area from a few well respected people and every says they have no idea for a place around my area that does powder coating.

This may be a stupid suggestion because I'm pretty sure the guy who posted this has tried but:


Have you tried checking the oil level? If its low the car may not have enough pressure with the cold oil to properly lube the valve train. If the oil was low it might also have let air into the hydraulic lasher adjusters and that could cause the tapping you hear.

yeah you are probably right broke. he said the problem was fixed after he got an oil change.
