rotating assembly

hey fellas, just out of curiousity, for a 20+psi high hp, car what would you use for a rottating assembly? will one of thos strocker kits you always see in the magazines work? what about an eagle/scat crank, probe pistons, and good rods, all forged. will they take the abuse? and what is the max compression pistons one could use assuming the block could handel it. sry for my ignorance i really dont know that much about race cars, i know enought to get me by on street cars but not strip. any thoughts? thanks craig

i would say get the egeal kit sell the pistons and get low compression pistons and gett the biggest chamber heads you can find if you are wanting 20 PSI.

bottom end integrity doens't depend so much on boost pressure (or nitrous quantities for that matter), it depends on total horsepower. parts flex when horsepower is applied to them, and when they are forged they resist such forces to a greater degree than castings.

call Eagle or Scat (i prefer the latter) and they'll put a kit together for you that meets your needs.

If your not buying an aftermarket block I would not choose a psi but choose a horsepower level and work backwards. Think stock 302 is ok round 500hp 351W 600hp.

Then decide how your gonna make that hp cause that will decide what you need for internals.
