Hi, I'm Albert and I live in San Felipe B.C.Mexico. I'm a Gringo wetback. I'm 199 years old and truly started life on a horse. I use to ride into town 10 miles after chores to see my gal. I remember the first TV in 1947 and the first jet airplane. I always loved to go fast. When I was 15 my brother got Billy Vokovitch's 90" midget and started me racing on the Pacfic coast. After high school desided to go to collage. Then uncle sam wanted me to spend some time with him, so ended up in Texas in flight school. After 3 years in Korea and the same in Vietnam desided I wanted to race full time. After setting 9 or 10 world records on the Salt Flats and lots of sprint car racing desided to follow my first love drag racing. I've been doing it ever since.
Now I have some Zed31's and a few 32's and my latest a 350Z. My final big hoora in life is to try and take a Zed32 to 300MPH on the salt. I tried it a few years ago with a blown hemi Firebird and flew the car at 297MPH. Totaled out the car. I'm building a VH45DE engined Zed32 to make this run. I figure with 1,500HP and a drag coff. of .26 it well go over 300. Right now there is a guy that has taken his Z31 in the 200MPH range with a mild VG30 engine. What's wild is he drove it to the salt.
I just hope they bury me in one of my Z's.

Re: This is Z related but more about the owners of them.

My name is Matt. I'm 21.

I bought my 1972 240z in November of '03. It had a bare bones L24. It had a 5-speed swap, center force stage 1 clutch, R200 3.54 rear diff. , Tokico Lowering springs and 15" enkie wheels... And tint!!!

I swapped in a SR20DET into the car cause I got the motor for pretty cheap. Now it's a rocket. Just gotta do the whole suspension to counter act the loss in weight. Then it'll be just as fast in the corners, than it is in a straight line.

My name's Lauren.. yes, a girl. Im 19, just moved back to WA state from FL and have been in love with Z's for the past year but never knew much about them until recently.. (still dont know THAT much but I'm learning.) I got into cars at 16 thanks to my car crazy ex.. but I thank him for it because they are a lot of fun. My first car was a '95 Camry but got passed on to my brother when I bought a '93 Celica. I then moved to Florida where I had a 2000 Integra LS but when I moved back I wanted something more. You know, RWD, V6.. I bought mine about 2 months ago, a silver '93 NA, wasn't perfect when I bought it (broken air dam, rear lights cracked, some oxidation..) BUT it ran great and I got a decent deal on it so I bought it and am looking forward to fixing it up. I already installed new lights and bought a bumper that just needs to be painted and installed. I have ideas on what I want to do with it but they've all been put on hold as its needs a new clutch and is due for a timing belt... over $800 in labor alone and being a student currently w/o a job.. hah, yeah, I cant really afford to think about those things. I've been looking through the forums as often as possible and a lot of you with pictures of your car look great! Hopefully mine will be there some day

hey lauren...what color silver is your z32??? if it is the platinum mist silver, i have a stock front bumper that has a small crack in the very bottom of it for sale. other wise it is near perfect condition. painted and everything. just a thought...i also have some clear corners that look really nice on the silver z.

Christian: 20

Phoenix, Az Formerly Kaneohe, Hawaii

I've Got A 1975 280z, A 1973 240z, And A 1977 280z. Why I Got Those Cars Was I've Loved The S30 Chassis (best Z Cars Ever) And Wanted A New Toy (needed To Get Out Of 240sxs). My 280z Has A Chevy 355 In It With Dart Heads, Rebuilt Bottom End, Headers, Edelbrock Performer Manifold, Holley 770, Solid Roller Crower Cam, 1.6 Roller Rockers, And Tons More.... The Z Itself Has Been Treated To Coilovers, Poly Urethane Bushings, R200 Diff, And 4 Pot Brakes.

The Other Zs Are Projects The 240 Will Probably Get A Sr20 Or Ka24det And The '77 Will Probably Get Sold Off Or Traded.

Re: This is Z related but more about the owners of them.

Lauren how mechanicaly inclined are you? If you can get the tools, you can save yourself a bundle by doing the timing belt youself. I figure I can save 200+ dollars if I do it myself. I have most of the tools I need, I just need to get a longer 3/8ths extension and a 6" and 12" 1/2" extension. I can get the puller I need from pep boys or somewhere like that. And the timing belt I can get from a Nissan dealership or from online for about 30-40 dollars, Now the tensioner, thats the expensive part, thats going to run me about 140. If I have some extra cash I am replacing the fan and the shroud with a electric fan and a new shroud. A idiot broke my screw out of the top of my shroud and I have it clipped on right now, it holds up fine but it looks like ass.

Yeah, I've messed around with a few now. A 1990 Corvette auto on the freeway. First night I got the car, with boost problems. I walked him in 5th gear on stock 7psi boost.

And I stopped a '02-'04 (405hp) Z06 cold in his tracks from a 2nd gear punch with 12psi boost. It wasn't much of a race, he complimented me on my car. So i was pretty happy about that.

Nah, that's the largest version I've got. But feel free to print it out and put up on the wall. I've already done the same thing.

hoped you changed the rotors too. And its easier to find a good Z online through the autotraders and such like that.
