Cool Le Mans Contest entry #2: Ferrari 312PB LM '73

This is a very rare 1/24 resin kit made by LMP/Little Garage in 1997.

The castings are very clean and precise, makes for little clean up.

I'm building the red/yellow version which was driven by Jackie Ickx and Brian Redman in 1973.

Pic of real deal.

Here's most of the kit.

That casting does look very clean and sharp. Will look forward to seeing you work your magic on it - added to the comp entry list

Should be good. I have a photo of that car on my wall signed by Brian Redman... the race took place the week I was born.

Are those rubber tires? And why is your red paint upsidedown?

Yes they are rubber.

I found once these bottles have been opened which contain prethinned lacquer that it's the best way to seal the lid to keep the paint from drying in the bottle.

Got the body coated in Modeler's pink base, and some more of the kit in this pic.

The body coated with Gunze Auto Color Ferrari red.

What a great car and what a nice kit!
Can't wait to see it finished!
I would die for this kit, man! I have a 512 BB LM "Bubble Car" from LMP/Little Garage and their quality is simply top notch!
But, so far, no luck finding this kit.
There's hope though: did you know that Profil24 will release a 1/24 resin kit of the famous 312PB?

ll the best, Marc
