Re: Stock CRX si 's sure are hard to find

There is a red 89 CRX Si my bosses dad was going to sell for $1600. Needed a new windshield, and the back hatch leaks (go figure). I think he'd still sell it.

Yeah, get a hammer and something sturdy with a small tip to nudge it out.

Re: Stock CRX si 's sure are hard to find

so the 90+ crx's have a different suspension too? I'm looking for an 88 becuase of its lower curb weight.
So what is different about the 90+? Is it just minor stuff or is it a completely different suspension setup? They are still double wishbone on all fours right? lol

[edit] So you think I will be able to get a good 88 for 1200? I'm starting to have doubts

Re: Stock CRX si 's sure are hard to find

See thats the problem I face with buying a new crx. I want a completely stock crx, so I can do a swap myself, and not have to worry about anything in the past with it. Thats why im looking at buying a car from the UK, over there, their rust isnt as bad and they keep GOOD care of their cars. Also, they're cheaper, in the condition they are in. Not to mention, they come stock with better engines. Im looking at buying a 16v crx from the UK, and putting a real mugen kit with the door panels, then throwing in a b18c5. I just want a stock crx, with very nice interior, and as rust free as possible. I see one for sale for 1500 EURO right now, and thats relatively cheap for a honda crx with 88k miles, and nothing wrong with interior and body wise. May cost another 1000 to ship it over, but that seems worth it to me.... Either that or im looking at buying an SiR :-)

Well you dont have to buy a complete swap unless you want the tranny with it. I'd just buy the shortblock and slap on your b16 head and tranny with it. Thats what i did.
