Re: Here comes the draft.

I would also like to add that I seriously doubt that there is going to be a draft any time soon. In the AF today there is a program called "force shaping" which is basicly a ticket to back out of your contract if you decide you don't like the military any more. Many of my friends have taken that route and have since gotten out. The whole process only takes a few months.

There's some fuel for the fire. Although I i'm not sure about the other branches of the service, the AF certainly does not need or want more people.

its way passed relevent, but i cant let a personal attack go unanswered.

you ARE NOT garuenteed personal rights in the military. you sign yourself over to the government and legally become the governments property to do with as they please.

sorry if that doesnt appeal to me. niether does blindly following orders. the idea that i have to be under some stickupmyass commander to learn respect and discipline is just ridiculous. im quite capable of picking those things up for myself, thank you very much.

I wont even bother to reply to "being cut out for it" or "ignorant" claims, because i refuse to sound like im making baseless claims about my abilities. though if your interested, ill be more than happy to fax you a copy of the results from that apptitude test the marine recruiter gave me in highschool.

Re: Here comes the draft.

draft or no draft...military or not....you are still "under some stickupmyass commander" (your opinion, not mine)!

and for arguments sake, name some personal rights that you have in college that you don't have in the military?

Your aptitude test says nothing of your character...
