usually an alarm will beep 3 times if it has been set off or doesnt arm correctly...so I would first check the knock sensor to make sure it is mounted securly, and also check all the harnesses on the brain-box to make sure they are all connected tight.

I would guess that it is all above the drivers kick panel. I would find the ignition harness and follow all those wires down, somewhere in that path there should be 5-10 wires tapped into that lead to a box with usually 4 wires running off to a littler box usually it has an adjustment screw/led light on it which is the knock sensor (the think that detects if the car is being hit/kicked...)
