Any automatic vehicle has a torque converter of some kind. Unless yours had a aftermarket converter.

Re: Undeniable proof...

I thought it was implied it was aftermarket :P

When I bought it, it was going out. Dad, reliving hotrod dreams put in a good aftermarket one.

the first gen ford probe gt's and first gen mx6's had a single cam 2.2 little engine that is turboed from the factory. this is what turbo tuner had. i've heard good things about that engine so thats why i assumed the I4 would atleast be like the older models. oh wells swapping in the v6 it is~!

Yes, it will.

Well, at least I know the 5-speed will. I know nothing about the autos, and I never cared to know.

You guys have seen CheeseFrog right? And his fully build Civic? There's a video of him whoopin on a Viper. So, it's possible a Turbo V6 in a Mx-6 could whoop on a Viper.

that's what i was refering to.

Re: Undeniable proof...

Yeah, but you dont have to fully build a KLZE in an MX6 to beat a viper.

Probe GT engine = KL-03, 2.5 liter, 160HP, 6000rpm redline

Motor we've been talking about = KL-ZE, 2.5 liter, 200HP, 6500rpm redline = it's big brother

KL-ZE's will run you between 700 to 900 to purchase complete. If you can find a PGT engine for HALF that, then it'll make it worth the -40HP/TQ, otherwise, get the ZE.
