Question on FW-14B

Hello... I have checked the reference pages but I couldnt locate or couldnt see what I was looking for...

What I need is, which I am sure I have seen somewhere, the picture of an all carbonfiber, unpainted fw-14 on trials.

If you have a picture or a place you know where I can locate info I would appreciate. I might be wrong and it may be a different car, but still it is worth a try.

Thanks in advance guys.

(to the admins: I hope I am not posting in the wrong place, I didnt want to post in the reference pics section just not to clutter up the place)

Re: Question on FW-14B

This is the perfect place to ask such a question Toughbeard. May not technically be a completed or work in progress thread but more likely to be seen by somebody who knows than in the main forum.

But sorry I have never seen pictures of this car. I have seen Tamiya's FW14B built in all CF though, figured it was a "phantom"

I think what you saw was a model. It was made by Tom Neel. He used a Tamiya 1/12 Fw14B and a lot of ScaleMotorSport decals. Because of this SMS put pictures of the car on their website:
http://www.scalemotorsport.com/default.asp?gallery

and iirc it was also in Tamiya Model Magazine.

edit: it was TMMI issue 86: http://www.tamiya.com/english/news/magazine/m86.htm

Re: Question on FW-14B

I saw this model on a Tamiya Model Magazine, french edition, too!

If you're interested, here are my scans of those pages (both are around 270ko because of their size: 1600/1100):

first two pages

second two pages

The text may be interesting, but sorry, it's in french and I'm not courageous enough to translate it!

I checked and I have the English issue with this CF FW14B. If you like I can scan it and upload it somewhere?

Re: Question on FW-14B

Thanks for the article scans guys. Interesting to read the author says he was inspired by pictures of bare monocoques, not a real FW14B that appeared as such. Makes sense because I've never seen a Williams test in bare CF. Jordan, Ferrari and Arrows yes, but not Williams.
