Re: Re: thinking of starting a new project..

yea i dont want another fwd car, i was leaning to a rwd or awd car, im mainly a drag racer, but i will do road racing, i want a realiably car that i can drive every day and still be a monster on the track, that is why i like turbo soo much b/c when im not running the car ill turn the boost down low and drive, it will help prolong my motor and keep me safe.. well its not gona be easy but good things requires work and deciation.. well now im leaning to a gsx/tsi.. i know its kinda ricey but i still love the dsm shape and the 4g63.. but now im leaning to a 1g tsi, my friend has a nice 92 tsi for sale a 12sec car,the mods are: 650cc injectors, 255inthank fuel pump, adj, fpr,3.5" turbo elbow, 3"turbo back no cat, big 16g, 35mm external wastegate, upper i/c piping, he was saying something about upgrading his coil but i was to busy drooling over the big 16g..greddy profec-b and safc, egt, and boost gauge, datalogger, greddy b.o.v. vented back to motor, crane cams, copper head gasket, then bottom end was overhaulled at 100k, the car is a 12 sec car, i know im forgeting alot, also it has the 6blot motor and 4bolt rear with lsd in the rear end.19psi on pump gas.
hes gona give me the car for 3k but it needs a tranny 1st is gone... not a bad car in my opinion..

Re: thinking of starting a new project..

Damn, that's a pretty good deal, even with a broken tranny. Of course, I think givin your previous posts, I think you'd rather do the work yourself on the car instead of getting a pre-made one.

why do you guys keep on comparing the RB to the 2JZ? he wasn't referring to the twin turbo GT-R RB26. he was reffering to swapping in the ugly looking RB25DET. with one turbo, and with the intake manifold going over the valve cover like the n/a 2jz ge engine. its a pretty ugly looking engine. nothing like hte RB26DETT, so i always laugh when you guys keep on calling it a exotic engine.

It still puts out some nice power though... And I dont think its that ugly. Plus you can change the configuration some what.

well now im leaning to a gsx/tsi.. i know its kinda ricey but i still love the dsm shape and the 4g63
I didnt mean to imply that DSMs are rice. I too like the look of the DSMs, more so the 2g. Its just that I see so many riced out ones. However if DSMs are what you like then get one. In the end thats what its all about, what you like. And with all the stuff out there you can make the car you. Plus you dont see as many 1gs as 2gs.

Re: thinking of starting a new project..

You could always get a bike. Probably what I'm going to do after I finish this KA-T project. Probably gonna be a 600cc bike. Leaning towards a CBR or a Ninja. I don't want anything big, just something fun and inexpensive.
