1997 Integra Keyless Remote HELP!
Whoa Sup all? Ya i just bought a 1997 Acura integra and im confused its a 2 door with a key remote and it Has a Lock, Unlock, Panic, and.... Option... Option?!?! What in the world Does Option do? My friends Messed around with it and i think it has something to do with How many beeps the car makes with Unlock and lock.. But were all still unsure not to mention its not even mentioned in the manual. OK SO MY QUESTION!
Can anyone tell me how the heck to work this remote with the option button?! Thanks all

the "option" button usually is so if u hold that while locking or unlocking the car, it'll be silent. u can also hook it up (i believe) so that u can have it open ur trunk etc...(if u have the proper equipment installed.)

I just got a viper alarm and the extra button controls the silent mode on the alarm and it allows for some expansion if you want to add other features to the alarm ie. trunk pop, remote starter etc.

If it is an Acura system then the option button is used in conjunction with the silent and/or the chirp buttons to program the remote to operate another vehicle (so says acura) as well as your vehicle. The different chirps are 1 chirp when locking, 2 when unlocking; same with parking lights flashing, once when locking and twice when unlocking.
