Radio Antenna

I recently sold my 1989 Jeep Cherokee to my dad and along with it was a lot of my errors. I had broken the antenna off in a car wash a few months before hand and now he wants it back. He said they wanted 60$ to install it for him so he wants to do it himself but I need to ask how difficult this is and so fourth. Anyone with experience or info is greatly appreciated

in order for you to get to the antenna you need to take the fender flare off the pass. side which releases the wheel well plastic cover..it is a pain in the a$$,all the fender flare nuts will snap off(rust).i installed a cb radio bracket on the bumper in the rear. so much easier...good luck

Do you know of any sites that explain how to do either of the 2 methods you mentioned?

Antenna Fix

I Bought An Oem Replacement Kit/antenna From Local Jeep Dealer. The Cost Is Minimal, Around $38. The Kit Has Instructions For Installing The New Antenna And Removing The Old One. These Instructions, I Can Reassure You, Say Nothing About Moving Any Panels, But I Plan On Doing It Now That I've Lost The Entire Assembly To A Mean Eating Right Panel!
