Hello-
I will try to explain as best possible- This is a problem that I have with my '99 GT and my sister has with her 2000 V6. When you come to a stop and let off the brakes, the car sort of jerks or you hear a sort of thud. This is hard to explain. It does not do it if you are gentle with the brakes or if you brake very hard but don't let up quickly at the end. To me it does not feel like the transmission, but rather a brake problem. If anyone has experienced something similar let me know. I'd like to figure it out. Thanks, Drew |

Re: jerking when almost stopped
Automatic or manual? Sounds like your describing what a manual does when you are stopping in gear.

Re: Re: jerking when almost stopped
Actually they are both automatics, and maybe saying the car jerks is incorrect, it feels more like a thud of some kind, and it seems directly related to how you stop the car with the brakes.
Thanks. |

Re: jerking when almost stopped
What GTStang said sounds right.
But, does it pull when you use the brakes?

Neither one seems to pull when braking.
