can i just leave it to dry for a day? cuz u guys are confusing me with 1 hour and 16 hours and stuff like that.

I work with thin layer of putty. 2 hours is ok for that. if you use tick layer, you need to wait for fully dry.. touch the putty, you will know when it's dry. For Final sanding, wait a full day

This may help, I added these vents on my civic pretty easily. I just cut the hole out in the size and shape I wanted and then I added a straight piece of styrene at an angle to make it look like its double vented. hope this helps
