NASCAR: Superdetailed 1994 Brickyard Winner
Guys, I see alot of Nascars starting to pop up over here so I thought I would post a Extreme build I am working on. It is Jeff Gordon's 1994 Inaugural Brickyard Lumina. It will have everything I can sink into it. Here it is so far.
The body was modified on the sides to get the slab side look. I did not open the roof flaps up. I dont particularly like this look. The car will have the runk closed and all tires and wheels on the car. ![]() Here you see I did however add inner flap detail to the roof for detail purposes. I did this with detail wire, and MCG washers. ![]() Below is the headers I made from .062 Solder and thin metal before paint. ![]() HEre they are installed on the fully plumbed Hendrick Engine complete with Detailmaster fittings, braided line. Parts by parks Dist and wiring, and MCG aluminum pulley set. I painted the headers with various shades of Alclad and clear Tamiya colors. ![]() ![]() The kit driveshaft was cut and the u joints used only. I glued them to a piece of 5/32 aluminum tube and detailed it out with paint and MCG bolts ![]() Below are the wheels and tires fully detailed with all lot markings. ![]() More updates soon---- |

That is absolutely astonishing! Almost makes one want to give up really. We could all buy our models from people like you instead.

Models like this just inspire me to try even harder. I'd have sworn that picture of the prop shaft was the real thing. It's just about perfect...

Thanks guys, the belts are real small rubber o-rings that come with the pulleys. I purchased them Model Car Garage.
