a 3000gt sl runs low 15's meaning anywhere from 15.4 down to 14.9
also there are othere things that come into play besides hp and weight, i'm gonna say that its more of a drivers race, but i'd lean toward the sl more.

yea 97-99 bases are sad. they only got the looks and that is about it cause they are pretty slow. i believe thats why many people think 3000gts are slow but they dont really know there is the SL.

im goin with the sl as well. i forget who posted it, but they said hyundai was getting sued for claiming 183 hp, when in reality the are only pushin 160

I posted it....... look in the "Most overrated cars forum." Actually my girl is involed because she was pissed about her Tib only having 160 hp. They lied about 20 horses. That kinda sucks. They pulled a mazda (RX8)

Im just saying that i beat one, and no it wasnt a vr4. I dont know if it was an SL or not. How can you tell the difference? if you read my whole post i said maybe he didnt know how to drive it. or maybe the car was beat to hell and didnt have anything left. I would have to say its a drivers race as well, because you say the SL is a high 14 to low 15 sec car and the tib is a low to mid 15 sec car. Well that's only like .5 sec and that could come down to reaction time.

it could have also been a baseline model tho too man. the as well only have around 160hp and still 200hp more, so thats prolly what you raced.

well, since I heard stories of people running 160 MPH with a stock tib, I will go with the tib, but I dont know much about the 3000GT sl, and it will be a drivers race to!

i dont even think the tib has that much of a chance anymore, since ive heard hyundai lied about the hp on the tiburons. i thought it had 181 but in reality it only has 163 hp.

i dont think that its all of the tibs that have less hp than they advertised i wouldnt believe that mine only has 163 hp
