people people people. where the hell do u people live. for 6,000 i can get a b18c1 and then put some ls pistons in there and boost that sucker. then i would still have money left over to upgrade the fuel system and much more
complete b18c1 swap=2500 bolt on complete turbo kit(brand new)=2000 ls pistons=free i have some lying around rc injectors=150 fuel pressure regulator=free from my friend or 100(regulator and gauge) if i buy racing clutch=300 fuel pump=200 boost controller=250 headers intake exhaust=500 =6000 do the work urself, its cheaper. machine shop do crappy jobs and then they screw u

Re: Engine Choice; Poll
I've never seen a new turbo kit for a gsr for $2000 before; never seen one for under $3G's. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong sites though.

Re: Engine Choice; Poll
Hmm. Ls/vtec, I have a garage and tools and everything, the only problem is that I don't know very much about the internals of cars. I guess I could look for a class or something? I'll check around my friends and see if they know these things.

Re: Engine Choice; Poll
Building an engine is no more difficult than installing a turbo, it's all a matter of turning wrenches. I suggest buying a book and read instead of asking advice from a bunch of people that seem to try and score humor points. if you have 6 grand to burn......buy a b18c5 or a b16a2.....I have the b16a2 and think its a great motor....
Good Luck. E.Honda |
