About the only nice views of Houston I can find. TexasF355F1 should recognize most of the above places.

Re: Scenic pics - where do you live?

I'll just use my award-winning photo of my car... This is roughly 12 miles north (and about 3000 feet up) from where I live.

I live really close the ocean so it's basically houses on top of houses here. Not much room for streets. When you get further away most of the main streets are bigger.

I live in Glendale which is just right next to Phoenix (I live 2 miles from the city line/border/whatever you call it.

Here's some Phoenix pics (from internet searches)

Downtown:

View of downtown from South Mountain:

Camelback Mountain on Phoenix's east side:

Random freeway shot:

Desert Scenery outside of Phoenix city limits:

Bank One Ballpark - home of the AZ Diamondbacks baseball team:

America West Arena - home of the Phoenix Suns basketball team:

Now for some Glendale pics:

Manistee Mansion....this is the last of Victorian style mansions around here. It used to be called Manistee Ranch and the property took up about a square mile of land. Several years ago the land was sold to build new houses on, but a piece of land was preserved and Mansion remains intact, and is now a tourist attraction...and this is just a half-mile from my house:

Random street shot:

Rendering of the stadium now under construction for the Arizona Cardinals:

Downtown Glendale at Christmas time...they light up the main square, it's called Glendale Glitters:

Rose garden at Sahuaro Ranch Park...another historical spot in Glendale (just a mile from my house)

Antique shop in downtown Glendale, 1 of about 150. Glendale has (I think) the largest antique district in the country...I think it's about 150 stores or so all in 4-5 city blocks

Glendale Arena - home of the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team

Cerreta Candy Factory

And Glendale's most charming haven.....MY HOME!

Except for Glendale Arena and the Cardinals stadium, everything else is pretty much within a mile or 2 of our house

Must suck to mow your lawn...

My parents are thinking about moving to Arizona (Phoenix area), and I really hope they do so I can go visit them there. I love the desert.

I sure do my friend. I'm trying to locate some aerial photos of my neighborhood, but I'm not finding any.

But you can't forget about our beautful baseball stadium, Minute Maid Park.

A picture out of a window of my house. Nothing beats the burbs of Philly. Looking into the woods. Well not really but it is still trees.
