Scenic pics - where do you live?

Since Mr. T is showing Taranaki, NZ off again, I thought we could all show off our areas of residence. I'm in a pretty scenic area too...it's just the opposite kind of scenic from what you'd see in NZ.

Aerial view of St. George
I live just off the left side of the picture.

Zion Canyon Narrows
I hiked a 17 mile hike through this cavern once a few years back. Zion canyon is about 46 miles away.

Bryce Canyon Nat. Park
About 150 miles away. I've hiked through here also. Pictured are the "hoodoos".

I don't have a digital camera so I'll rely on other photos on the internet. Behold, Redondo Beach, California

Here's the beach where I live:

Downtown:

What most of the houses look like around my area:

And of course, where I spend the other half of my life. At work, in west LA:

I don't have really good pics of where I live so I found some on some site so here some.

This is near a boat dock near the Monterey Bay.

The Double Tree Hotel in downtown Monterey.

I'll get more pics later.

Re: Scenic pics - where do you live?

Wanted to add one more...
This is the view from the backyard of a home I toured in Feb. About 10 miles from my house.

Blindside: I am amazed at how skinny that street is. Almost all streets here (even residential) are 5 lanes wide. And it's not a big city - pop 45000, county pop 100000.

Re: Scenic pics - where do you live?

a few years back, i traveled to bryce canyon, and zion. Very beautiful indeed.

Heres my place of residence. Its in New Kent Virginia. The closest wal mart is about 20 minutes away, but to get right in the city of richmond take about 15 minutes. And as you can see, the closest house is pretty far away.

Yes...my house is somewhere back their..

Here's a picture I took last year, it was part of some time-lapse photography that I was doing for a video I made. My house is not in the picture, but it's only a few blocks away from where the picture was taken. It's a relatively small city (pop. 200k), but it's been my home for the last 8 years.

Spokane, WA:

Re: Scenic pics - where do you live?

Hmm, maybe I'll post some, I don't think the landscape of central Kansas is really anything to behold.
