Universal Code Reader, OBII, 39.99

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=46030

Well this past weekend my CEL flashed at me a couple of times after I hammered on the gas for about 5 seconds. So tonight I swung by harbor freight (which is a 1/2 mile from my house) and picked up their universal code reader for 40 bucks. I pluged it in and found that I had no codes. I guess this reader only works when there is an active code present. So I will just have to wait for my 1st real CEL to come on before I can use it. I figure this is cheap insurance since it looks like autozone may of stopped there free code reading deal (not sure about that) and there are no autozone's in my area anyways, and it would cost me at least 50 bucks to have my codes read by a mechanic.

So if you're loking for a cheap reader this may be a good deal!

Yep, that code reader will only read codes that are locked in. Every now and then, HFT will list that code reader at under $30. It's a good tool to have on hand!
G/luck
