HOW to put a model in a display case onto a wall?

so your hanging the display on the wall and you dont want to the car to fall off it. i would say super glue the wheels to the bottom the of the display or on the bottom the case pound a short nail into it and then push the tires into the nails.

let me just confirm what you are saying...you want the car to be firmly attached to the base because the base will be mounted vertically on a wall...so if you are standing directly opposite the car, you will see its roof?

i say, if you dont want premanent changes done to the car it self, you could 'tie' the car to the base using wire. drill two holes in the base, thread the wire through and thread it through any chassis rails or sunstantial suspension components and twist the ends of the wire together. might work. maybe a bit of super glue to stop the wire from un -twisting itself...

Thats the way I want it and thats the way I will tiy to make my modell wall look great. Might work out, who knows!

Here's a couple of idea I thought up for securing models to display base for transportation to shows etc. Never actually done it so can't confirm it works.

First shows a metal rod tucked into the wheels - ie front pair and rear pair. The rod will pin down the wheels thus securing model to base with a legnth wire that will twist together on the underside of the base. Remember that you will need to drill a hole for each end of the wire.


Second shows a similar princple using a length of thin metal rod or thick wire pinning down each wheel

Yep. This is what I would do. Might take a bit of time to do it right, but it sounds like the best idea of the bunch.

Flyonthewall's ideas are similar and also worth trying.
