when you hit 3rd gear it "grinds" or what? if it is grinding, well, that's pretty common unfortunately with Spec-Vs, but you can take it to the dealer and they might replace your tranny for ya.

so are you seriously considering a turbo?
if so, you don't want to buy a header because the turbo has its own header....
i wouldn't recommend cams because there is no ECU upgrade available yet, so gains are very small...
TWM, Mossy, or B&M make shortshifters for the spec-V. TWM is very simple and cheap. Mossy is very good quality.
For motor mounts, go with ES. they will cause vibration at idle, fyi.
not sure about pulley and flywheel, hopefully someone else can give you some info on that....
uummm, JWT pop charger and balance shaft removal kit are good mods so i hear.

bs removal would be good for turbo.

The gains with cams are very large without an ECU, larger than with any other NA mod there is, don't know where you go that info. An ECU will just give you even more power on top of that.
Mossy, aka Nismo, is the best short shifter out there right now, B&M screwed up the qr25 shifter so don't go with them.
Any motor mount is good, ES inserts are the cheapest, Place Racing full replacements are the most expensive. Any will cause extra vibration at all rpm, especially at idle.
Unorthodox Racing makes the best (and only) lightened pulleys, so go with them.
Pretty sure JWT has a clutch/flywheel set, but considering I don't own a spec-v I haven't looked into it much

Where do you live? That's very important if you're worried about passing inspection.

Re: Good name brandes anyone know the best one??

thanks alot bro for all the info you gave me your always good with parts on sentras.Anyway I live in NY so this state is all fucked yup and limited because of the laws on automoblies.Ummm secondly far as for bolt-ons I"m very close to wanting to put those on my car but I been told from people and others on here that for more power and improvment, performance is best to go for a turbo kit.I know you said to read about and do lil research I can't forget that all thats gonna matter incase I have a promblems.I believe just this one kit can give me everything I want instead of buying and buying and installing every 2weeks parts.Especailly when the dealer told me that a turbo kit would be good for this car.I believe i saw online that theres certain turbos kits that the stock enegine can handle is that true?If thats the case I wouldn't mind one where I don't have to do internal work you know.In your opinion should I wait lil bit and buy one or buy bolts-on?and if i do .Do I still have to change shifters, pulleys, motor mounts etc etc.Obvisily, I know I need a better clutch/flywheel set.As far as the 3rd is more like grinding into 3rd halfway that I feel grinding....Thank alot bro...luis

Re: Good name brandes anyone know the best one??

It's all your decision really, depends on what you're looking for out of the car. There are turbo kits that will work without having to replace the internals, talk to Trav at www.fi-r.com about it if you want to know more. Whether you go turbo or not, you will still want to get motor mounts, flywheel/clutch, lightened pulley, and cams. Any of those can be used whether you stay NA or go turbo, so they would all be wise choices to start with. Keep in mind, the gains with cams won't be all that spectacular by themselves on a stock engine, you can only really see their potential if you have i/h/e or a turbo.

A short shifter won't help much either way, it's more of a daily driving convenience type of mod. I would never go back to the stock shifter since I love the short shifter so much, even though it didn't make my car faster at all. As far as passing inspection, I don't really know what will and won't void you in that area. An intake or exhaust won't, a header might or might not, depending on if you get rid of the SES light, cams are really pushing it, and a turbo definitely won't pass.
