please help got turbo on
this is what i have
88 civic with dohc zc swap t25 off of an eclipse hf manifold 2" piping stock actuator (with treaded adjuster) aftermarket intercooler 450cc injectors (dsm) apexi safc2 heres the proplem i cant boost over 1 psi (acorrding to my safc) but my wastgate opens at 4000 rpms witch should be at 6-8 psi. i looked for a leak in the piping but couldnt find anything and the car is smoking and not to mention my new clutch slippes at 4000 rpms and when i let off the gas my turbo sounds like it has a dove in it (bird) the cor doesnt fell like it is boosting more than a pound please reply

1st off is it a new safc ? did you check the turbo out before install ? how many miles are on the turbo ? what kind of fuel are you running ? i think i know what your problom could be..but i ( we ) will need a lil more info

yes its a brand new safcII the turbo had a littel shaft play not hitting the sides or anything im running pump 93 im not for sure the miles on the turbo and the smoke comming out is white

Definitely sounds like a massive boost leak to me. If the turbo was really bad off, you could pull the downpipe and/or intake pipe off and more than likely see oil. I bet it's either a busted coupler, lose coupler, or a busted FMIC. Also, I didn't see a BOV in your list, so that would be the "dove" sound you hear - compressor surge.

ok i cant find a leak any were and my pipes are all open but the pressure is still coming to the turbo
i do have a bov but it hasnt opend yet because im only hiting 1 psi it sounds like 8 going through the turbo when i let off. i have a fmic so i took that off to see if it was restricting it and just put a pipe in but still the same thing im lost
