Re: How do you pay for your hobby?

We have an expression here in belgium which says:

There are no dumb jobs, there are only dumb people.

Hope the translation is understoodable

It means that you must not be disappointed by your job, even if you harvest the garbagebags and put them in the garbage truck. If your job gives you money it's not an idiot job.

Seriously, I really don't know how the heck I can afford some of the stuff I buy...with such a miserable allowance of €100 wich has to pay for:
-gas
-food
-books
-photocopies

Re: How do you pay for your hobby?

Currently pay for my hobby helping two guys sell their extra stuff on ebay. I take pics, write up the descriptions and basically run the whole thing for them. They collect the cash.
Otherwise, I'm Mr. Mom with my three boys and I'm also an automotive detailer. Currently working a deal to open a Retro/novelty car wash/detail shop.

Me, I'm a Director in an Material Handling Company (Engineering) but spend 99% of the day as a CAD draughtsman (Autocad), but also run a small aftermarket car parts company (www.type-f.co.uk) which pays for the Hobbies
