fc rx-7 or z31

i have a NA 87 rx7 at the moment, but i was thinkin about gettin a 87-89 300zx turbo. i know the turbo 300zx has 170 horsepower at the wheels, but that is only 10 more than my rx7. also the 300zx weighs a helluva lot more. please anyone help me with this. also, which one would gain more hp with small mods like intake, exhaust, etc.

Re: fc rx-7 or z31

The Z would probably gain alot more HP...my friend w/simple mods was making like 212rwhp and like 270tq...

NA wise...you cant go too far on YOUR motor...you gotta swap and go triple rotor!

actually gabriel... hardly anyone has the 20b(three rotor) engine in their car... i know that if i put the turbo II motor in there i could get upwards of 500 horsepower with porting and other serious upgrades

Bullshit... Have you heard of porting? Please research more about rotarys before posting false information like that.

just curious does porting mean the same thing for rotaries as for piston engines?

The turbo z31s aren't known for being amazing cars in handling or power. Personally I'd stick with your N/A and either swap in a turbo or just mod the current engine, they are still very popular cars for tuners.
