Does AMT offer a parts replacement service at all?

Something very interesting to note. The Revell civic and integra kits have like 4 sets of rims, but only one set of rubber that could be accurately described as a rubber band. I was looking for some donor rubber, and found that the AMT FatF Supra rubber fits beautifully onto the revell rims (try it if you have these kits!). So I snagged one set of rubber. But the Revell rims are really nice after you get some good rubber on them! I'd like to get some rubber for all the revell sets i have. I think my best bet would be to go through a parts replacement service, but I'm not sure if AMT has one. Does anybody know if they have one, and how it is used?

Also, since Aoshima recently reboxed this kit, I could work through them as well, I suppose. Does Aoshima have a service?

Last I heard, AMT does not offer a replacement service. Apparently, they felt that there was too much abuse of the system, and are now telling anyone missing parts or in posession of defective parts to return the kit to the point of purchase, and exchange it for another.

exactly, too many people wanted free parts, even if they did'nt have the kit, so sadly, AMT had to put a stop to it, you can get Revell and Tamiya replacements parts, but its gonna cost yea....

I used Hoppin' Hydros 19" tires on a set of the Revell rims. I was not pain free however. The ribs on the rims had to be removed and the 19's were wider than the rims, requiring the tires be trimmed.

I'm sure that Revell could sell a bunch of tires for those rims, though that is not in the best interest of their bottom line. There was some talk that Revell was going to release rim sets some time ago, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I got a couple replacement parts from Revell right before they started charging for them- a nose cone to an F-14 and a cockpit hatch for an F/A-18 (the one that came in my kit was half melted!).
