It's not a lie...
I did own a 3000gt vr-4. i am not talking shit about your car so calm down. he asked for my imput and so i figured i'd give it. i loved that car when i was younger. it was my dream car. when i bought it and things started going wrong i put in the necessary money to keep it functioning at it's peak level. i never put in cheap after market products to save myself money. i went with the original stock parts. every time i said to myself "the car is worth the money". i kept saying that until four years had passed and i invested almost $13000.00 in it. it was garaged. never beat up on. it was maintained the way a car like that should be. aside from the constant problems the performance was simply nowhere near the 300zx twin turbo that I presently own. one good thing i can say about the vr-4 is that no matter the weather i never lost control of that car--credit that to the all wheel drive. that and the good looks is all i can say that was good about it. it's not just my opinion I can have my brother post on this forum if you want and he'll tell you the same. he drove both my vr-4 and my 300zx and he'll waste no time telling you which car is better--the nissan. i'm not trying to start an argument. I'm just giving my two cents. the vr-4 is heavier than the z and so looses in acceleration time.

Re: 3000GT vs. 300ZX
Sorry but... a VR4 is not sluggish compared to a 300z. Maybe there was something wrong with your VR4. I don't usually hear of people having that many probs with one.

How can you say the 300ZX TT will accerate faster than the VR4. That's what the VR4 was built for. Off the line acceleration. The only thing that the VR4 had trouble with was the transmission and they kinda fixed up that problem. Only thing was the snyconizer's going out to fast. Nothing to big. I'll put money on the VR4 anyday before the 300ZX. Out of the Supra, 300ZX, 3000GT, and RX7 geuss what!!! The 300ZX came in last place. |

i'm gonna give my input now:
if you are talking about a non-turbo, a 3000GT will definitely be the way to go if you are talking about a TT, stock vs. stock, the VR-4 will always have better ET times, but the ZX will always have the higher trap times. ZXs are also easier upgradable since they come stock with td05 turbos vs. the cruddy td04 9b turbos found on the vr-4s. If you have the money, the VR-4 is the way to go because the only thing restricting the car are the turbos and the fuel, and with a nasty AWD launch, you can own a lot of cars, but beware, the ZX tends to be a better highway racer. Its all on preference, both are good cars.
