how do I know if this is an EX tranny?
I just bought a 97 ex tranny online and im not sure if its an ex or not. it says s40 1370128 and has K4E imprinted on it. the other sticker is gone so i have no clue. Also, this is going in a 92 civic hatch cx with jdm d15b vtec. will I have any trouble bolting this up? any of you guys out there know whats up please let me know. Thanks in advace

I believe the S40 is the 96-00 EX tranny. You won't have a problem bolting it up. All D-series trannies and motors can me mixed and matched. Have fun with your swap there.
