This thread is old as hell. Leave it alone and make a new one. The last post was more than a year ago. I know you are new, but we try to keep old threads from becoming long and drawn out.

How about, they are worthless because they can't haul anything. Certain year S10's have more GVW than F150's, now thats sad.

All these trucks are good choices for day to day driving. But I'll take the Ford anyday into the field.
As long as you don't get an auto the dodge is better. Dodge's auto's do suck, but the manuals are way better. I hate when that one magazine compared 03' Diesels-chevy VS ford VS dodge. They compared autos, and the only reason the dodge sucked was because it has a 4 speed VS the other 2 have 5 speed autos. Plus ford and chevys have this thing that it will automatically downshift going down a hill, helping out a lot hauling. Dodge doesn't have that.
My brother has an 02' ram diesel, it's a 6 speed manual and he put on a Pac-brake. You don't even have to use the pedal very much any more. The Pac-brake isn't as effective on the powerstroke or Duramax, it does better on a straight 6 rather than a V8.

"I'm wondering why a truck comparo was started without Dodge even being mentioned? Maybe because Dodge is leaps and bounds better than both Ford and Chevy?"

Do you live in any type of industrial/agricultural county? The reason they didn't mention the Dodges is, A. they sell the least, (for good reason), and B. If you've actually had to work with them, the only things they have going for them, AT ALL, is the Cummins diesel and the Hemi, (of which the Hemi only comes with the oh so breakable automatic). They break constantly. Trannys going out, power steering pumps blowing up, shitty brakes, etc. Combine this with not much savings over Ford and Chevy, plus the problem of shitty gas mileage + low power compared to the Chevy, (Ford has this problem too), and you have yourself a lose lose situation if you buy one. Mopar guys, I don't know when or why it happened, but while the other two companies have done nothing but improve their truck dependability, Dodge trucks have hailed king John of the porcelain throne.

Well I know my brother's ram has 4 wheels disks with ABS, that thing stops on a dime. Wears out pads pretty quick though, what can you expect the thing weights over 3 tons empty. And yet it still stops better than any pickup I've ever seen. Maybe the older trucks are bad, I know 98 and back have drum brakes in the back, they probably suck especially on the diesels. He has had no problems with the power steering pump either.

I would like to introduce every1 to the Noob of the day. His hobbies include ranting and raving like an idiot, believeing people think his opinion is above all else's, and capitalizing the first letter of every word for ease of reading. Every1 make sure to say hi and make him feel welcomed!
