Do what you want. Personally I wouldnt go to an all male gay bar, but if there are lots of lesbians around you cant go wrong. My wife and I went to a gay bar near here with a lesbian friend of hers and it wasnt bad. I wouldnt go there often but since I was with a few girls I just made sure to stick with at least one of them all the time. You will probably be surprised at how many straight couples you see.

Well I just went to a gay bar in Las Vegas called "Gypsie" (or however you spell it) and it was interesting. I will describe what I saw. There were 2 guys in thier underwear dancing on a litle platform right by the dance floor. The dance floor was full of guys dancing with a couple girls on it and looked like a normal bar dance floor. When I was in line to go to the bathroom there were several guy couples that would make out and be all over eachother. I only saw 2 guys dressed up in drag, one white, one black. Saw several lesbian couples making out. The kind where one girl tries to look like a guy. To my surprise I did not get hit on while I was there. I sat back and watched the whole sceen and didnt get aproached by any guys. Appart from seeing several gay couples making out it seemed like a normal bar but with noticeably less girls, and the 2 guys dancing in only thier underwear.

See not that bad. Most of them aren't that different to any other bar.

hell I've been to a few where there were women dancing in their underwear. (of course I went back:P)
