|
just rebuilt engine, but car won't move in gear
ok, so here it is. I just got finished rebuilding my 2.0 DOHC motor in my 95 ford probe, runs like a champ, but will not move in any gear. i can tell that the car is going in gear, but no motion. oh, and my o/d light is flashing, any ideas?????????????????????????????????????????

just a suggestion...i could and may be wrong.. but its worth a shot okay so here goes
try resesting the computer. disconect the battery for a few. go grab some lunch come back. tighten up the cables at just let it idle. for a few... let the ecu relearn its self. try that and if its not that. then i'll check around my work to see if they have any ideas. |

oh and make sure all the conections or pluged in....pluged in good too. and check the fluids.

fixed it, I forgot to put the shaft back in the trannie spindle, the shaft is what runs the trannie fluid pump. Very important part. retails for 100.00, oh, and I threw mine away not knowing what the hell it was.
